Mosaic is a community that seeks to flourish in the Gospel by developing a Christian Worldview, being on Mission with God, and creating a culture of Belonging.

Root of nourishment and core of life

Gospel- The Gospel in a broad sense is God’s story from start to finish.  Four main emphases in this story are Creation-Fall-Redemption-New Creation.  More specifically the Gospel is God’s redemption of his people who are marred by the fall.  Jesus sacrifice of atonement provided redemption for those who put their faith in Him.  As a result all who repent and believe in Him “get God.”

God redeems humanity from the fall and its curse so that they can receive and enjoy him.

Romans 8:17- and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Worldview- We desire to be a community who views life and death, work and play, food and drink through a holistic God saturated vision, to break the false distinction of sacred and secular for the Christian and to embed meaning in the everyday “laundry” of life.

Matthew 22:37-38- And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.”

Mission-God is on mission redeeming all things- our calling as a community is to be on mission with him individually and corporately.  We want to be a community that holds evangelism and social work hand in hand as a part of Gods commission.

John 17:18- As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

Belonging- Christ has resurrected and empowered the church, his body, to be his main vehicle of redemption, because of this every Christian belongs to one another as a source of tangible grace and of sanctification.   Since we are his vehicle of bringing rescue, we desire to be a community who loves the outsider and welcomes the stranger into our midst.

Eph 1:22-23- And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
